With breathtaking views over Newport’s famed Cliff Walk, The Cliffside Inn is a striking and enchanting coastal Rhode Island escape just a short walk from Newport shopping and restaurants. The historic building has been updated with eclectic, artistic details inspired by the life and work of noted 20th century painter, Beatrice Turner, who made the mansion her summer home from 1907–1948. Creative design choices made during the 2019 renovation—a rich palette of jewel tones, rich textures, and eclectic patterns—pair old with new, traditional with bold, to charming effect. A Continental Breakfast is served each morning and, while the seasonal menu varies daily, it always features fresh, tasty ingredients. In addition, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and bottled water are available in the common area (self-service) 24/7 and afternoon wine and refreshments are offered from 5-6pm everyday.

Due to its location in an historic building, The Cliffside Inn may not be accessible to all, or may present challenges in providing easy and independent access. Please note there are 11 exterior porch stairs required to enter the building. There is no elevator on property and all but one guest room do not meet ADA accessibility requirements due to the historic nature of the property. The one ADA room is on the ground floor and has a walk-in shower - all other guest rooms are on the 2nd or 3rd floors requiring stairs.
